The printed manual is beyond annoying. The photos are about 2" square and in grayscale. Not even a good black and white, which might be clearer. I defy anyone to be able to thread this machine from the manual instructions. Thank you so much for the clear, full color video. I paused and saved screen shots throughout your presentation. Now I'm off to thread my new machine with a great deal more confidence than I felt when attempting to use the useless manual.

Jamie... thanks for your hard work in producing such a great tutorial... I have followed it but am still having problems... when hand turning (as you suggest) at the end of threading all seems fine but then when starting to stitch both left & right needles come un-threaded (threads don't break and they still run through to the back of the machine and under the thread guide at the back of the foot (& changed both needles)) upper and lower loopers remain threaded... please can you give any suggestions or advice... very frustrated... Thinks in advance...

10:23 @Jamie hoping you're still answering questions on this. On my overlocker the plate held on by a single screw that is v shaped to guide the red and yellow threads the screw fell out and the plate dropped off. Oddly enough not long after a service where it also returned with a squeak like a mouse was trapped and needed a revisit, but enough said there. I noticed behind that plate there's two screw holes. I can tell which is the correct one from your wonderful video but have no idea if there's meant to be something in the other hole to hold it from the back in some way. Any advice appreciated.

In my last comment all was going well. I’ve since used my overlocker for lots of children’s clothes, I’ve cleaned it, oiled it, changed threads and am in the middle of a project … and now it is making an awful ‘clunk’ resulting in no chain and just separate threads. It also seems the lower looper (yellow) is tight to the point of breaking the thread. Then it will be the right needle thread which snaps. I’ve rethreaded it (several times), oiled the main ‘piston’ adjoining the ‘red’ upper looper and now am stuck. If the timing is ‘out’ could I reset that by unthreading everything and turning the wheel manually somehow? Help please.

Help! I tried to move the cutting blade out of the way to make it easier to thread the needles, but a small (1cm) black plastic pin dropped out and I have no idea where it belongs. Is it safe to use my machine? I daren’t try running it, in case it was holding something together. Thanks.

I found a shorter video first but the angle of the video was not helpful and a bit too rushed. So glad I found yours as youve taken your time and have perfect video angles. I found having an external light to shine on the loopers was very useful. It worked first time so I'm more than happy. 😁💜

Thank you so much!!! I rethreaded my machine MANY times and watched alot of tutorials. Yours was the only one that mentioned coming back over the looper with the red thread... I am now off and running! I can't tell you how many times I had to cut bunched thread out of my machine! You are a very good instructor!

Very easy to follow but my yellow thread keeps unthreading or maybe breaking after one sewing.

Hi Jamie, thank you very much for the video. It is a brilliant guide. My man, as you described in the beginning, bought cheap sewing mashin in Lidl, not knowing what it is like, not sewing at all... I played beginning of the video to him with a comment: "Listen! Listen! This guy is talking about you!" 😀 Rest of the video is for me. As experienced person with ordinary sewing mashin, you helped me a lot to even understand what is what on an overlock. I am not afraid anymore and can then start discovering this interesting equipment. Will check other videoes and learn more. Thank you again and I wish you all the best.

Adding to my comment below, I looked at the instruction manual and found the pictures very difficult to see any detail in. I think that might be part of the problems that peeps have with understanding the threading. Thank you again.
